Help us to protect and preserve Wollaton Hall and Newstead Abbey for future generations. We welcome all donations and appreciate your continued support of Nottingham Museums
Make a one-off donation and help us acquire new pieces for our collections. Over the past 12 months, individual giving contributed to ongoing conservation and research projects to further the community, education and outreach work our teams currently undertake.
Gift us in your Will
Newstead Abbey has benefitted greatly from individuals who have gifted financially to this iconic heritage site. Such acts of personal generosity are the most far reaching and valuable a supporter can make, directly benefiting future generations of museum visitors. And you decide, with the gift reflecting a particular interest, or personal passion and those monies in turn directed to benefit specific areas within the museum’s body of work.
Donating an item
If you possess noteworthy, interesting, or significant artefact which might enhance our existing collections, do please get in touch. We’re always looking for items relating to the Byron family, Nottingham lace, or quirky and evocative objects to include within our handling collections, Access Artefacts. Email as much detail about the item as possible and we will be in touch if interested.
Stuck for what to give to the person who has everything? Our virtual gifts are the perfect solution. Help plant roses at Newstead, or conserve our collections, or perhaps just donate in a loved one’s name. These are great gifts for every occasion and better still they become part of the fabric of these iconic heritage sites.
Our heritage sites mean so much to so many and giving in memory is a pertinent way to celebrate the life of a loved one. Sponsorship of a specific tree or bench at Newstead Abbey, a plaque in the fragrant herb gardens of Wollaton Hall, or at a given place which holds a particular relevance to you personally. Where we can accommodate these wishes we endeavour to do so.
Support from Businesses
We welcome donations from businesses big or small, and currently work alongside companies and individuals on programmes encouraging annual giving of over £250. There are loads of ways to get involved - from sponsorship of events, gallery installations (or even flowerbeds) with opportunities to brand and market your business in tandem. Donations are crucial in enabling us to maintain Nottingham’s heritage sites. Find out how to volunteer as a business.
