Local history study

It’s 1588, Francis Willoughby celebrates his first Christmas at Wollaton Hall. A great party is planned - with feasting, music, singing, dancing and ‘Mummers play’ - as the children help with preparations and learn about Tudor traditions.

Mistress Underne teaches Tudor dance for the children perform to Sir Francis. Master Cam explains mid-winter traditions while Mistress Peabody introduces Tudor foods and makes pomanders in the Tudor kitchens.
