Travel back in time to Newstead Abbey, the Victorian home of the Webb family and characters taken from the census in 1871.

Pupils dress as children of the estate workers permitted into the ‘big house’ to watch preparations for Christmas. A day of role play, experience the wonders of a grand country house with sessions including ‘sugar mice’ making in the Victorian kitchen, the ‘Magic Lantern’ show and making herb bags below stairs.
