Saxon Life: Invasions, settlements and kingdoms
Archaeology: Investigating real and replica artefacts including bones, jewellery, coins, pottery, bone utensils and armour

Why did the Saxons come to Britain? Understand the derivation of Saxon names. Two time-travelling children discuss clothes worn at the time. Decipher runes and map-out where in Britain they lived. Handle and draw artefacts. What can we learn about the people from the objects? Create a brooch to take home.
