Learning and education
Nottingham Heritage and museums offers a variety of curriculum-based education and outreach programming including teacher and inset training, open house and facilitated sessions, work experience and initiatives in ‘Take One Picture’ aimed to inspire primary school kids to engage with fine art collections.
Many curriculum and Key Stage topics fall under our Facilitated workshops resource. However, if there is a specific topic you wish to teach your class and need access to one of our sites, then do get in touch and we can facilitate this.
NOTE: Some of our sites can only accommodate 1-2 classes at a time, so do pre-book. Invoice posted to school, for payment 7 days prior to visit. Do inform us of accessibility requirement at time of booking as the historic nature of our buildings does limit wheelchair use. If you require a lunch space for your class, do inform us at time of booking. Cancellations: Once contract sent and received, your booking then confirmed; cancellation after this time will incur a 50% charge of total session cost and - if cancelled less than three weeks before the session date - the full amount of booking charged. Finally – to avoid disappointment do book early as demand is always high.
With over 11,000 museum artefacts available to loan, this is one of the most comprehensive heritage and educational services available in the East Midlands. Find out about it.
